Key Account Managers

Job Description

Akrion Technologies is expanding the sales team in Europe, adding Key Account Managers to strengthen our business relationships with key accounts in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

Location Due to the nature of this position, a close geographical proximity to our customer’s manufacturing sites in Villach Austria or Dresden Germany is a requirement.

Job Summary:

Key Account Managers are responsible for all aspects of our relationship with customer semiconductor manufacturing sites. High level goals include.

· account analysis through the development of customer contacts

· identification of business opportunities

· qualification of opportunities for equipment sales

· coordination of technical presentations with support from NAURA technical teams

· closing of sales opportunities with support from the sales team management

· account retention through improved customer satisfaction

· account development through up-selling and cross-selling of our products

· continuous improvement of multiple product lines through customer needs analysis

· strategic planning through forecasting customer needs

 

Activities:

The key account manager spends the majority of their time at the customer site working with the customer to evaluate needs through an intimate understanding of customer operations and capabilities. Acting as an advisor, the key account manager identifies new opportunities to enhance customer operations and solutions. In parallel the successful candidate analyzes and reports on competitors and risks. They develop tactical plans for sales opportunities based on their unique knowledge of customer needs and capabilities.

 

Responsibilities:

The key account manager has overall responsibility for the business relationship and relies on excellent communications with management and colleagues to execute plans. The main deliverables are,

· Creation and maintenance of customer organizational charts and business process flows.

· Editing meeting reports and regular activity reports.

· Creation and maintenance of CRM opportunities.

· Participation in the creation and maintenance of both tactical and strategic plans.

 

Requirements:

· Empathy and a desire to work with others.

· Willingness to take ownership in difficult situations.

· Self-motivation and time management skills are key to this customer-site-based position.

· Strong customer service skills with a focus on customer needs assessment.

· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills specifically in spoken and written English.

· Knowledge of principles, methods, and tactics for promoting products and services.

· Experience with Customer Relationship Management software.

· Ability and willingness to travel frequently in Europe, China and North America.

· Strategic and flexible approach to project management.

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or other relevant field valued.

· 3-5 years of experience in the semiconductor or similar industry.

· A prior position as a process or equipment engineer in deposition or dry etch is a plus.
